For technicians
Apply for low voltage and electrical work in NYC
Tell us your trade and experience. When an assignment comes up that fits, we will get in touch. Applying does not commit you to anything.
You are hired as an employee
Every technician goes on the WallaceWilliam payroll as a W2 employee. You are not brought on as a 1099 subcontractor.
Covered while on assignment
We carry workers compensation and general liability on our employees for the work you do on our assignments.
Work across the five boroughs
We staff structured cabling, security, audio visual and electrical projects throughout New York City.
One point of contact
Timekeeping, payroll questions and HR paperwork all come back to our office rather than a different party on every job.
Technician application
The more detail you give about your trade and experience, the better we can match you to the right assignment.
Before you apply
Questions technicians ask
Are your technicians employees or subcontractors?
Every technician we place is a W2 employee of WallaceWilliam. We handle payroll, timekeeping, workers compensation, general liability and the HR functions that come with employing field staff, so you are not adding anyone to your own headcount.
What trades do you staff?
On the low voltage side we place structured cabling technicians, AV technicians and security technicians. On the electrical side we place mechanic electricians, jr. mechanic electricians, conduit installers and helpers.
What areas do you cover?
We are headquartered in Midtown Manhattan and staff projects across all five boroughs of New York City.
Do I need my own insurance or tools to work with you?
You are hired as a W2 employee of WallaceWilliam, so you are covered under our workers compensation while on assignment. Bring your standard hand tools and PPE for your trade unless the assignment says otherwise.
How long do assignments last?
It depends on the project. Some assignments are short punch list or shutdown work measured in days, and others run for months on a single site. We will tell you the expected duration before you accept an assignment.
